Each simulant runs a behavior tree plus a 13-state FSM with utility scoring; there&rsquo;s payroll and rent (evictions after three missed months), conversations drawn from a 1999 cultural database (Napster, Y2K, the Knicks), and a full election cycle whose mayor&rsquo;s stances mechanically change crime, transit, and rent. Worker threads scale it to 10–15k agents on an 8-core box; world content lives in editable YAML.</p>
