Vintage Computer Museum
Online archive of 1960s–1990s computing hardware, restored and documented.
What it says on the tin. Lots of Heathkit stuff.
An online museum of computing hardware from the 1960s to the 1990s: 600+ systems researched, restored, documented, and filmed across 11 countries. The site carries per-specimen catalogue pages (recent additions: Tandy 1000TX, Commodore PC 50-II, Sinclair QL software), detailed workbench restoration logs (recaps, seized controls, one floppy drive “still arguing”), and long-form history pieces — Apple v. Franklin and whether ROM software is a machine part, the Yugoslav magazine that shipped a computer kit (Galaksija), the stringy-floppy years. Great company for the Heathkit side of the shelf.
