Arctic Shift Reddit API
Free Pushshift-successor Reddit archive API; rate-limited but powerful.
Pull threads from Reddit. Has latency and some significant usage limits, but is so much better than the Reddit default options.
Arctic Shift is the community-maintained Pushshift successor (open-source, by Arthur Heitmann): billions of archived posts/comments back to 2005, reachable over plain unauthenticated HTTP. The linked /api/comments/search endpoint takes a link_id to pull every comment on a post, plus body/author/subreddit filters, time bounds, and limit up to 100 (auto for up to 1000). Limits are real: roughly 15 req/min soft, 30/min hard, occasional “slow down” 422s and 504s, and archive lag for the freshest data — no SLA. For pulling whole threads it’s still far better than Reddit’s own API.
